upcoming plans…
Many people have been asking me what I’m doing next, so it feels like I should post an update.
Next Friday (4/27) will be my last day working full time at Franconia Conference. After taking May off, I’ll continue on a part-time basis.
Here’s the rundown for the next while on the road:
May 4-27: Mediterranean Cross Cultural in Turkey - I’ll be helping to lead this EMU cross cultural with Linford Stutzman. We’ll be doing a week of backpacking (which I’m responsible for leading), a week of sailing up the coast from Antalya to Bodrum, and then touring by bus back to Istanbul. It’s a group of 11 students, Linford, myself and Galen Lehman.
May 30 - June 7: Biking the C&O from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC with my sister Kristina - http://www.atatrail.org/
June 11-19: EMU Summer Peacebuilding Institute Session IV - Strategic Media and Arts Based Peacebuilding - http://emu.edu/cjp/spi.html
June 20 - July 1: Biking from Portland, OR to San Jose, CA with Jeremy Yoder. We’re planning on taking Adventure Cycling’s route down the coast, mostly on Rt. 101.
July 1-7: San Jose, CA for MC USA convention - http://sanjose2007.org
July 9-24: Spain/Morocco - El Camino: A Path for Young Leaders
July 24 - August 10: Israel/Palestine - I’ll be leading a group through MMN and Franconia Conference to Nazareth Village - http://mennonitemission.net/Work/Service/YV/locations/Israel.asp
mid-August-mid-October: In the states somewhere on the east coast
mid-October 2007: Move to Jerusalem and be there for a while
